5.2. In-House Database of Customers Often, merchants would like to keep a database of their consumers and information about what their consumers have purchased. For instance, a merchant may want to assign login names for each consumer. Then, whenever a consumer would log in, they could be offered new products. Because all information about the consumer has already been entered under their login name, if ever they decide to purchase a new product, they should not be prompted for any billing information. In this way, orders and new sales opportunities can be tracked with ease. The myPaySystems-Pro system is easily integrated into this type of scenario. In this scenario, a merchant would need to create a finalize order page for the consumer. The database would then need to pull all the billing information for this consumer and place it in the appropriate fields mentioned in section 4. The database could also store the information about this particular transaction. The consumer could then review their order, and, once confirmed, could be brought to myPaySystems.com to complete their transaction. As all their billing information would already be populated into the myPaySystems.com billing information form, they would not need to reenter it. |
