Kid Fonts

I have struggled in the past when looking for cool free fonts to use. In posters, illustrations and web site designs. Some of the downloadable fonts I have come across seem to have disappeared so I have started archiving some of them locally. Original sites are listed in the references below.

Kid fonts

Blambot specializes in Comic-like fonts (I refer to them as Kid fonts), used mostly within comic books. Below are some of my favorites, listed below for my convenience as well as others when their next pet projects beckon.

Gaelic font

Here is a nice chisel edged font, all vowels are underlined. Very similar in style to the old "Asterix and Obelix" series. The font style similar to that used in the dialogue balloons of the Greek characters speaking Greek :).

Handwriting font

Nice lines, thin lines anchored with bold block shapes, draftboard like style.

Kid fonts

Comic fonts in general have very thick lines, this includes kid fonts. By making the lines thick, they become very playful and approachable. (Script and Classic fonts uses a lot of thin lines, making it aloof and distant). Using Pastels in the title, to create a softer 50's like quality.
