23) Candybar 4 Finally was able to combine candybar 3 codebase with my dollmakercode codebase. Major enhancements includes the link feature for any doll that you create as well the pre-assembled character pieces. The full body images and the seperate top and bottom layers now integrate more seamlessly. ... 14) Portrait Maker [Apr 08 2006] This portrait maker is built using dollmakercode.com. Additional enhacements were made like fixing the email bug, making certain tabs invisible, soon to add subtabs as well. The design of the doll, large head small body, an Otaku style design has been ongoing for the last 3 months. This signifies the first release of the dolls using the Lollipop design. These portraits are designed for inclusion in forums, blogs and journals. 13) Paper Doll Madonna [Dec 15 2005] 12) Candybar Dollmaker 3 [Oct 25 2005] First Dollmaker with color filters to sort items based on colors (see shoes, skirt, top and hair tabs). Also tested cookies with the dollmaker, so returning dollmakers would find the same doll that they were last working on. Other features includes cropping the doll to save in IM's and forums. Also able to save an animated doll, using javascript and placing it on your own webpage or journal. 11) Build-Your-House Maker [Aug 25 2005] Created homes, most of them based on the hompy site, fixed the drag and drop script, WHILE dragging we can drag an item over other items without highlighting them. Again this code works on both IE and Netscape. The image cleanup took over 2 weeks to complete. 10) OneClick Room Maker [Aug 08 2005] Updated the doll house, removed the popup menu and made all the commands visible on the bar below the room. Solved a few technical problems that allowed me to save an arbitrary number of layers to an image (save to disk). Also solved the email to friend problem by using the POST method (had to use forms). (GET has a limit of how much text to pass). Also extremly proud of the fact that this code is cross platform (works on both Netscape and IE). The thumbnails (32x32) also allows for a very large number of items to be displayed per page, over 180. (the old limit was around 25 per page). 9) Doll House [Feb 21 2005] Working on an all new navigation system, tested it out on the doll house first. Essentially a filtering of views. Also has right click popup menu, can flip images, and layer as MANY images on top of one another as you would like. Still a work on progress. 8) Candybar boy Maker [Feb 11 2004] Quickly reused the main template of the above to create a BOY doll maker version. Same as candybar, except certain elements are now Boy clothing. 7) Candybar Maker [Jun 25 2004] This is the later version of the Candybar doll maker. A doll parts site map help illustrate AND navigate the layers in a very easy manner. The order of the layers, the precedence of certain doll parts over others and an ability to view 25 doll parts at a time were all features that made this doll maker easier to use. ![]() 6) Candybar maker, Test [June 12 2004] Wanted to create dolls with animated parts, this was my first attempt at doing this. Also needed to create a generic doll making program with access to a large set of images, lots and lots of images help present problems I never faced or imagined before, like how do you present such a large set of images in an easy to use interface. Also it made it very clear what extra features the next doll maker program required! My first attempt at creating a Candybar doll maker had a few problems. It was not intuitive enough, the layers were applied in a specific order which was not clear from this design. Also viewing only 6 doll parts at a time in a pile of over 800 is frustrating ![]() 5) Ragnarok Maker [May 11 2004] Was experimenting in drawing the various layers and the ways in which this could be presented. The dresses were based on the South Korean online RPG game, Ragnarok. ![]() 4) Baby Animal Dressup [Apr 20 2004] Continued to experimenting with layouts, started to lean towards a stripped doll selector, as seen in this baby dress up game. ![]() 3) Doll Creator [Mar 20 2004] Then using my own dress images and added a new black doll, I enhanced the layout of the dress up game ![]() 2) Doll Creator test 1 [Mar 20 2004] I came across Lola's doll bases, the dolls parts were rendered with exquisite designs on top of a single base. There many other dress combinations I thought that I would love to try, so I created the doll creator program. This is the first iteration using pre-drawn images. ![]() 1) Smiley Creator [Mar 05 2004] Began with my own elouai smileys. I was looking for a way to simplify the creation of additional smileys by just reusing smiley parts. ![]() Note: Candybar Community If you are looking for tips on saving dolls, or to be part of a candybar community then I suggest visiting "addicted to candybar". |
